"...A moment of extraordinary hope"

- Governor Chris Christie

Registration is OPEN. Please see our admissions page for details.

On January 18, 2011 NJ Governor Chris Christie granted approval to Shalom Academy Charter School. Shalom Academy Charter School plans to open in the fall of 2012 for grades K-5 pending final approval by the State Department of Education.

Shalom Academy Charter School will graduate students that are proficient in the Hebrew Language.  Intertwined in the attainment of this competence will be the development of attitudes, skills, knowledge, and responsibility essential to successful achievement in school and society.

Shalom Academy Charter School will strive to encourage every child to achieve the academic, technological, social, physical, and emotional skills necessary to reach his or her greatest potential. The demands of a strong and comprehensive immersion educational program and learning environment will enhance self esteem and sense of the students ability to succeed no matter what demands arise, even as their grasp of the core curriculum is assured.

The federal government recently awarded Shalom Academy Charter School a three year Start Up Grant. This grant will help ensure a smooth opening in September 2012.

Hebrew Options In Public Education (HOPE), a licensed 501c3 non-profit organization, provides funding and support for our charter and grant applications and is critical to the successful opening and operation of the school.

Please support the efforts of HOPE. HOPE
